The fruit is called Mo Far Kor. It means "non-flowering fruit" in cantonese
The scientific name of the plant is Crescentia Acuminata. Commonly knows as Calabash tree.
This tree is native to southern North America, the Caribbean, Central America northern South America, West Africa and South Africa
It is also used in traditional systems of medicine. The tree produces large spherical fruits, up to 50 cm (20 inches) in diameter, the hard shells of which are useful as bowls, cups, and other containers when hollowed out.
The flesh of Mo Far Kor is like mushroom. Soft and fluffy. It will be cook with salt, sugar, citric acid and herbs.
End product of Mo Fa Kor. But does the one we eat mixed with papaya flesh? Because I swear I saw papaya seeds before inside their packaging.
