Nebula have her head shaved for the Marvel's Avengers

Nebula is a character in Marvel Comics. You can see her appearance in the movies Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.

She is one of the children raised by Thanos alongside her adopted sister Gamora, having developed an obsessive need to best her that resulted from her losing their sparring matches as children with Thanos subjecting Nebula with torturous mutilation while replacing parts of her body with cybernetic enhancements for further improvement.

Karen Gillan plays Nebula in the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. The Scottish actor is born and raised in Inverness, Scotland, the daughter of Marie (Paterson) and John Gillan, who is a singer and recording artist. 

She developed a love for acting very early on, attending several youth theatre groups and taking part in a wide range of productions at her school, Charleston Academy.

Portraying Nebula is not easy. Karen has to spend hours on make up which most likely to cause skin to hurt or itch. Even more painful, she have to shaved her head for the role.
