What are the effects of skipping breakfast?


I personally feel that the importance of breakfast is vastly overrated. Think about it: in nature no animal, or no prehistoric man/ape, has a fridge or a shelf with food.

They wake up, and start looking for food. Our bodies have adapted for hunderds of thousends of years to this, so it is still in our genes.



My personal experience is that if I don't eat breakfast (just some coffee, or some coconut water) I'm fine untill lunchtime. But if I eat some cereals or bread (anything with carbs basically), I am superhungry by 11h am.


Another thought: breakfast are the most profitable business for supermarkets and for food corporations. Things like cereal last for ever and don't cost anything to make.


Obviously they have been promoting breakfast as a very important meal... A nice extra for them is that you get hungry again a couple of hours later, because of the sugar dip. Same goes for all fruitjuices...
